Thanks to a 30 years experience in trim tabs production SEIPEM^® has manufactured a new system including an innovative tab position indicator. This new feature improve the range of our traditional systems with mechanical signal transmission, adding the new equipment with integrated digital sensor.

The system shown is based on an hydraulic actuator of our standard series CIF50, fully tested and experienced for more than 15 years of production, which has been provided with a new special device. This hi-tech monitoring system is able to detect every little variation of trim angle with an extraordinary precision.

The sensor, maintenance free and guaranteed for over than 10 million cycles, is integrated in the cylinder and plunged into the oil, thus making the whole system protected from marine environment, always efficient and long-life trouble free.

The main advantages are the utmost easiness in installation (transom mounting and indicators setting) and the total absence of external pipes, hoses and wiring, that can be subject to corrosion or reason of malfunctioning and mechanical failures.

This innovative system can be applied to all   SEIPEM ^®  trim tabs equipment and namely to HY-TRIM and OFFSHORE series, where double acting cylinders are used, and, also for custom installations, upon Customer’s detailed specifications.
